If it’s been damaged, and It was Our Fault – We’ll either Fix It, or Replace It!
Please NOTE: All claims are subject to a $250 deductable. Our Maximum Claim is $750, based upon the following conditions:
- By Damaged Items, we mean NEW DAMAGE that occurs during the moving process. Items that were damaged prior to the move are exempt from our guarantee.
- Damages must be documented and our Team must be notified of said Damages prior to leaving the job site.
- Someone over the age of 18 must be present on the job site at all times.
- We cannot Guarantee Damage for Risky or Difficult Work conditions. Risky Work conditions may include:
a) Craning furniture into an apartment or condo
b)Handling furniture over balconies
c) Maneuvering oversized or heavy items (such as piano’s) up or down stairs
d) Steep, icy, or dangerous driveways
e) Hazardous construction or job sites
If our men are required to perform risky or difficult tasks, we advise our customers to have their own insurance in place as our insurance simply will not cover it. - Small, fragile, or breakable items must be packed in proper moving boxes. Our Recommendation is: Anything that can fit in a box, should be put in a box. Glass Items, or items that are brittle by nature, cannot be insured. Brittle Items may include (but are not limited to) ceramics, fish tanks, lighting, etc. – These items should be bubble wrapped or boxed appropriately.
- Washing Machines, Fridges, Computers, electronics, etc. can only be covered by actual physical damage to the outer casing.
- Items in sets or pairs can only be covered based on damage that occurs to the single item.
- Due Diligence is required on behalf of the packers to properly prepare all furniture and effects for transport. Items such as Paintings, Mirrors and Prints must be bubble wrapped. Our company will supply Mirror Cartons on arrival.
- Boxes packed by the owner cannot be covered unless there is visible, physical damage to the carton.
- Any particle board such as Ikea furniture is not insured and should be disasembled flat as when it was purchased to ensure safe travel.
